2022 Trousseau Noir, Chehalem Mountains
2022 Trousseau Noir, Chehalem Mountains
Welcoming the favorite new kid to our family! Inspired by the food-friendly red wines from the Jura region in France, we planted a block of Trousseau Noir here at Hazelfern in 2015 and are excited to share our family’s very first release.
This wine is light-red and chillable, but packs a firm punch of tannins that make it extremely food friendly & versatile. Aromas of wild cherries, strawberry Pop Rocks, and moss covered stones, are accented by wet basalt, bay leaf, Taylor’s Midnight Rain, and a farmers market floral bouquet. Cherries, minerality, and flamed orange zest on the finish make you want to come back for more.
What in the heck is Trousseau?!
